'Twas A Night to Remember

First things first, I know that it's been months since I last posted. Technically because of several school work loads and some extra activities I've been doing throughout those days. You may now be wondering why I didn't have the time to post during Christmas break, it' s because I was out of town (busy person here). I'll try to sneak in a few posts during my trip next time.

Anyhow, was there a certain time when you felt that a certain occasion should be memorable? Like it should be called A Night to Remember, or A Night I Would Never Forget in my entire living on earth? Guess what, our JS Prom (Junior-Senior Promenade) last 30th of January 2013 gave me that realization.

Before I tell you more about this event, I would like to say that this post would be long because of several pictures and a little bit of details, so please bear with me. Let me start first with the invitation, which was, I believe, they would say the most elegant and beautiful by far.

Upon receiving the invitations, we were immediately sent out to look for our assigned partners made by our teachers. It may sound cliche, having a prom wherein you couldn't decide who you're going to take, but I guess it's a chance to meet new people and find the spirit of camaraderie between two rival batches because of the Sports Fest or what some may call Intramurals. The whole event was held at Wack-Wack Golf & Country Club in Mandaluyong, which started at around 7pm.

I was actually assigned to a guy named Jasper Uy. Though at first I thought to myself that I won't get along with him, so much for my big mouth. Here I am again transforming myself 360 degrees, courtesy of Bench Fix again. That's why when I arrived, nobody knew who I was.. One of my batchmates even said "Taga Saint Jude ba yan?" ("Is she a student of Saint Jude?") I didn't know how to react at that moment HAHA

I was kinda too early, since when I arrived, the people were so few. Therefore, I grabbed the opportunity to take shots with my teachers and friends who were already at the venue way ahead of me.

The night starts to pass by, we were asked to sit in our assigned tables with our partners. We didn't really meet each other at the doorway, so as you may see, we met at the tables. Kinda funny though because the bouquet of flowers was quite too big, plus there was just this too cute to hug teddy bear; which really resulted to being put at the center of he table (not to mention the embarrassment we, actually, I felt towards our other table mates)

As far as we're concerned, we made our way to the photo booths (all three!) without even going up against the long waiting lines.. haha.. Thanks to him of course. Though I told him I don't mind waiting, since most of the people were dying to get their own pictures taken; he found a way to join in-between lines (how cunning yet I appreciate it) Here are some of the photo booth shot we got! All nights were meant to end, but before that we danced (yes, my partner and I danced!) To tell you the truth though, we do not dance, but we still managed to make turns and all haha.. After which was the awarding ceremony and boy I could not barely believe it, I was nominated as Face of the Night. Hell yeah, what an honor! So nice of him to escort me down the stage, unlike the other nominees who were left by their partners (lucky me) but i didn't win, which is what I really expected. Nonetheless, I congratulate the winner, she really was pretty.

Sadly, we have to say our goodbyes. I know he won't read this, but anyway, thank you to my partner Jasper! Technically because you never left me all through out the night, and kept me company; unlike the other pairs who went their separate ways. And everyone says that we look good together, I don't get it either (don't blame me). Thanks for making my first prom really a night to remember! I'll definitely look forward for next year's prom, with another bunch of Sophies. BTW, thank you for these too!
